About the Internship

A 6‑month mandatory professional internship

The professional internship is a mandatory and integral component of the Master E-Tourism program. It corresponds to a full-time 6‑month placement in a tourism, hospitality, events or digital services organization, directly linked to the objectives of the Master 2 in E‑Tourism, Hospitality and MICE.

Internships may be carried out in Vietnam or abroad, depending on opportunities and the agreement between the student, the host organization and the academic supervisors from the University of Danang and Université Côte d’Azur. The topic and mission of the internship must be approved in advance to ensure their relevance to the program.

Throughout the internship, students are supervised jointly by a professional mentor and an academic advisor. At the end of the internship, they produce a written report and defend it before an academic jury. The evaluation of the report, the oral defence and the feedback from the host organization all contribute to the final internship grade.

Internship Benefits

Gain substantial professional experience in tourism, hospitality, events or digital tourism services.
Apply the knowledge and skills acquired during coursework to real‑world projects and problems.
Receive joint supervision from a professional mentor and academic advisor from both partner institutions.
Develop a professional network in Vietnam and/or abroad, supporting future career opportunities.
Strengthen cross‑cultural and multilingual communication skills in authentic work environments.
Produce and defend a Master’s thesis based on the internship, which counts towards the final degree.

Internship Application Process

How to secure your internship placement

1

Discuss your interests and define a suitable internship field

Meet with the academic coordinator to clarify your professional goals and preferred sectors (tourism, hospitality, events, digital services). On this basis, you discuss potential internship topics that are consistent with the objectives of the Master E-Tourism.

2

Identify potential host organizations

With the support of DNIIT and Université Côte d’Azur, explore internship opportunities in Vietnam or abroad. This may include existing partner organizations or new hosts proposed by the student, subject to validation by the academic supervisors.

3

Validate the internship topic and sign the agreement

Once a host organization has been identified, the internship topic, tasks and supervision arrangements are validated by the academic supervisors. A tripartite internship agreement is then signed between the student, the host organization and the university partners.

4

Carry out the internship and prepare the thesis

The student completes the 6‑month internship under joint supervision, regularly informs the academic advisor of progress, then writes a written report and prepares the Master’s thesis defence according to the regulations of the program.
